The man of knowledge must be able not only be able to love his enemies but also to hate his friends.

Friedrich Nietzsche

I Love You

I don’t love you, though I have once before
This is not a love song, for you to enjoy

To think we were once strangers upon a dreary night
What has truly changed, we are back at the start
We were strangers, grew to friends
Then without warning I fell for you, now strangers at the end

One day you hurt me so deep I nearly died
A knife in my heart, I went to my room and cried
Don’t diss what I’m saying, don’t say it’s not true
‘Cause it happened to me and it will happen to you

And when that day comes you’ll turn to me and I'll say
I remember you, bitch, I remember your ways
But I still love you, I never stopped, never will
But then that’s all you’ll ever be is a face on the wall

A face on the wall, a memory to forget
Not enough to make me hate you yet
Don’t think I’ll ever forgive you
Though I’ll think about you again
Don’t want to remember the pain
But is that what you think of when you think of me?
Or do you remember the times of laughter, joy and glee
